How to Get Trust from the Team

Be a leader who have lead management is able to be kind to all members of the team sincerely because they can feel if you really care about them. Listen wholeheartedly when they give opinions, give praise to team members who have worked hard, and don’t say rude words. Remember that you are a decision maker. So, show proper behavior to be imitated by team members so that they behave as you expect.

– Respect for the team does not mean following their behavior. You are responsible for determining what is best for the team.

– If the team member disagrees with you, listen to the arguments he conveyed and then use the advice given to improve your decision. If you do not accept the suggestion, say that you value his opinion, but you decide on different steps.

Make appointments to the team. Team members will not respect you if you break your promise. Even though you are a charismatic and knowledgeable leader, team members will feel disappointed and won’t give support if you break your promise. In order to fulfill a promise, first, determine what you can do and what you can’t. Make a realistic appointment and make sure you promise something you can do. For example, if you don’t know the availability of funds in a company budget, don’t promise a salary increase to the staff. If you work as an employee in one of the organizations in the school, do not ensure that you will receive more funds before talking to the principal or financial manager.

Ask for feedback from team members. When meeting leaders at meetings, team members may feel intimidated and unwilling to give constructive criticism. Instead of waiting for someone to speak, ask them to provide feedback to improve your performance as a leader. Don’t ask questions that require no answers by asking whether they like you or not. Instead, ask specific questions, for example, “In the opinion of colleagues, what do I need to do to be a better leader?” or “Please provide input so that I can improve communication skills”.
