CHINESE
PAGE BOY
(1) Part wet hair in the center,
and make a slight wave on each side. Set pin curls around the ears,
turning curls forward. Divide back hair in sections and roll each
section over a wad of cotton, turning hair under and securing it with hairpins.
Tie a ribbon around head to make an indentation. (2) When the hair's
dry, take it down. Then pin top layer of hair up out of the way.
Ruff or tease rest of hair in this manner: Start at top of a strand of
hair and comb the wrong way-up toward scalp.. Do this in short strokes
over the length of hair. ( Warning: When you take your hair down, be sure
to brush out ruffing; don't comb it.) (3) After all this hair is
ruffed, comb the top hair over the ruffed section. Then bring the
page boy roll up to back of ears, pinning it there. |

EAR BUNS
(1) Part wet hair in the center.
Then an inch and a half from this part, on the left side, make another
short part. Over the strand of hair between these two parts, bring
rest of front hair from left side and pin it into a large curl, turned
forward. (2) Now twist the strand itself around the large curl and
pin it flat in another pin curl. (3) Part the hair down the center
back, and pin the left back hair into three large curls, turned forward.
Set the right side of the hair, both front and back, in the same manner.
(4) When the hair is dry, comb the two front curls on the left side
into one, coil them together into a bun and pin it. Comb and coil
the three back curls into another flat bun, pin it below the first one.
Comb the right side the same way. |
