SLEEK SIDES, FRINGE AND CHIGNON STAMP IT "NEW"

(1) Part wet hair across top of head from ear to ear, trying to keep an equal amount of hair front and back. (2) Mold back hair into a chignon, making about six twisted curls that meet in the center; pin. (The top two curls are shown in diagram 2). (3) Divide front hair into three sections; comb sides backward and upward, then turn into an upward roll curl; pin lightly. (4) After side sections are secured, run a roll of tissue an inch in diameter through center hair (you see ends in diagram 4); the hair beneath the roll is pinned in forehead curls and that on top of it is combed forward to meet them, and pinned.  Dry under net and remove tissue; pin sides high; comb front and back curls as in photo.

OMELET FOLD IN BACK-ROLLED FRONT FOR HEIGHT.

(1) Part the wet hair from left side of the neck diagonally up across back of the head. (2) Comb right side of hair up and turn into a series of pin curls turned either way at top of head. (3) Pin the left back hair into a series of forward turned curls. (4) Comb left front hair upward and backward, press into a wave and turn ends back; pin; take center front hair, comb upward and back and turn ends outward and right; pin.  Dry under net and brush it from right back up toward left front.  Then brush the left back up and drape it over right hair in an omelet fold; pin.  This produces a deep roll in front which you allow to fall casually; the ends forced out through the roll you comb into a tiny fringe.
